“CONSTELLATION” is an extension of the artist’s 2021 work “STAR/KL,” – a five-storey site-specific light installation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  STAR/KL is inspired by the starburst phenomenon, comprised of 111 unique freestanding light tubes or “fragments” that are designed to look like they penetrate its host building. Like the fusion of a star, the artwork is more than a visual spectacle but also triggers new technological and material explorations within the community through workshops, performances and roundtable sessions. “STAR/KL” is part of the “STAR” series that first started in Penang and will hopefully take unique forms across various cities. “CONSTELLATION” takes actual fragments of “STAR/KL” and reimagined into new forms and scale, giving birth to new “stars.”
